Located near Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple, Yasaka Suijinka is one and only wooden Japanese Inn featuring earthen flooring, an inner garden and other traditional elements of Kyoto’s Machiya style architecture. Yasaka Suijinka is surrounded by a lot of must-visit spots like Yasaka Shrine(八坂神社) and Kiyomizu Temple(清水寺), followed by Ishibe Koji(石塀小路) and Yasui Konpira-gu(安井金比羅宮). In addition, our neighborhood has many local-based historic stores and restaurants where you can find great souvenirs and taste traditions.
Entire Modern Kyo-Machiya, filled with Traditions This 2-story Kyo-Machiya (Kyoto-style traditional house) has 1 living room and 3 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 6 guests. The inner garden calmly and quietly shows changing colors of four seasons, which is illuminated at night. The bathtub and sink are Shigaraki ceramics(信楽焼), one of Japan’s traditional pottery styles. The unique-designed lights are from Kyo-wagasa Hiyoshi-Ya (京和傘日吉屋) creating chill and fun atmosphere.
